Having such versatile events such as Monster Jam, Taylor Swift's concert, and Walk Like MADD 5k right next door to neighborhoods brings in different crowds into the stadium. This creates new spaces for Atlantans and adds value to their lives by letting them exchange ideas, have a good time, and build relationships with others in their similar spaces.

RELATION TO COMMERCIALIZATION 

The entertainment industry associated with the Mercedes-Benz Stadium provides new and effective services to the surrounding community. This is important because these services can be used to solve some of the most pressing problems, as well as making incremental improvements to the quality of life for the consumers and business effectiveness in many ways. One example is  some of the team’s construction partners have also contributed money or expertise: SunTrust has introduced low-cost check cashing in the area; IBM has donated software to neighborhood nonprofits; and employees from other sponsors are mentoring Westside residents to improve their job skills. This relates back to entertainment because all of this wouldn't be possible without the team's sources. Additionally, the stadium serves as a first place for the players due to the atmosphere from the fans and how they have connected with them since this stadium has been built.
